Today, Monday, January 12, 2015

Today we expect hazy skies due to the light and variable winds forecasted from 5 to 10 mph. Weaker winds mean a land and sea breeze pattern is likely to set up. Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for Maui County. As the land heats up, sea breezes are expected to develop which may lead to afternoon cloud cover and possible isolated light showers. High temperatures are expected to fall in the range of 79° to 84°.

Tonight

Mostly clear skies and areas of haze. Leeward spots may be cloudy to start but are expected to clear as the land breeze takes hold. A bit cooler tonight as we expect less cloud cover. Without the clouds to trap the heat, radiational cooling will take place and low temperatures from 60° to 65° degrees are expected. Light and variable winds up to 10 mph are forecasted.
