A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Maui County channels and Māʻalaea Bay through 6:00 a.m. Saturday. East winds up to 25 knots, gusting to 30 knots and rough seas up to 11 feet are forecasted. Inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating in these conditions.

Partly sunny skies are expected today with scattered showers in windward and mauka areas. Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for leeward areas across Maui County with just isolated showers expected. Trade winds are expected from 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts. High temperatures from 79° to 84° near shore and lower high temperatures at higher elevations.

Mostly cloudy skies with showers likely in windward and mauka areas tonight. Partly cloudy skies are expected for leeward areas with isolated showers. Trade winds are expected from 10 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 67° to 72°.
Looking Ahead
Locally breezy trade winds are expected to continue through Friday. The trades should bring passing showers to windward areas with a few showers reaching leeward locations from time to time. Trade winds are expected to drop to moderate levels for the weekend as an old frontal cloud band moves south over the islands during the weekend bringing an increase in rainfall.
