A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Maui County channels (except the Kaiwi Channel) and Māʻalaea Bay through 6:00 p.m. Sunday. East winds up to 30 knots are forecasted along with rough seas of 7 to 12 feet. Inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating in these conditions.

Today
Today high temperatures are expected from 80° to 85° near shore with lower high temperatures at higher elevations (see graphic above). Winds will be out of the east from 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts. We expect mostly sunny skies on the leeward side and partly cloudy skies for the windward side with morning scattered showers.

Partly cloudy in windward and mauka spots with scattered showers overnight. Partly cloudy for leeward areas with isolated showers. Low temperatures from 69° to 74°. East winds from 15 to 20 mph.
Looking Ahead
Locally fresh trade winds are expected through early next week. Clouds and showers should continue to favor windward and mauka areas, especially during the night and early morning, with some showers reaching leeward areas from time to time.
