Raiatea Helm to Perform July 15 at Wailea Le‘a
Wailea • The Shops at Wailea • 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Raiatea Helm, one of Hawai‘i’s premier female vocalists, will perform at Wailea Le‘a at the fountain courtyard. Her musical talents have recently gained her recognition in the national music scene with her Grammy Nomination.

🍴 Wine Tasting to Feature American Comfort Food
Mākena Beach & Golf Resort • 6:30 p.m.
Mākena Beach & Golf Resort’s monthly Food and Wine Education Series event features American wines and comfort food. Held in the resort’s Molokini Bar & Grille, Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo brings with him three all-American Californian wines.
Pohaku Dance Performance Preview Thursday at The MACC
Wailuku • Maui Arts & Cultural Center • Castle Theater • 7 p.m.
Christopher Morgan will offer a free preview of Pohaku, a new dance theater piece and a “work-in-progress.” Pohaku will officially premiere next spring.

Rock & Brews to Offer Late Night Happy Hour During Concerts

Rock & Brews Pāʻia is kicking off the summer with a late night happy hour and a Summer Concert Series showcasing some of the greatest festivals and events in rock music.

‘Frozen’ to Screen at Starry Night Cinema on Friday
Kahului • The MACC • 6 p.m./7:30 p.m.
Disney’s animated Frozen will be the free featured film at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Starry Night Cinema. The gates will open 6 p.m.; the movie will start at 7:30 p.m. Come early for live music, door prizes and kids art activities.
July 17 & 18
Kahului Hongwanji to Hold Obon Festival July 17 & 18
Kahului• Kahului Hongwanji• 6:30 p.m.
The festival will begin with a service at 6:30 p.m. and special dance performances at 7:30 p.m. by Nakamura Minyo Kai and Matsudaira Ryu on Friday and Maui Minyo Kai on Saturday night.

Boursier-Mougenot Exhibit Opens at Schaefer Gallery

A sound installation by French artist and composer Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is on exhibit. Boursier-Mougenot creates intriguing works that explore the potential of common objects as a means to compose music in a given space. Schaefer International Gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and before Castle Theater shows and during intermissions.
Saturday & Sunday, July 18 & 19
17th Annual Keiki Hula Festival on July 18 & 19
Lahaina • Lahaina Cannery Mall
This free, two-day cultural event will feature hālau (dance troupes) from across the island presenting richly choreographed kahiko (ancient hula) and auana (modern) hula that express the traditional values of Hawaiʻi and the Pacific Islands.
Sunday, July 19
Sarn Oliver and Friends to Perform String Quartets at Seabury
Makawao • Seabury Hall • Aʻali’ikuhonua Creative Arts Center • 5 p.m.
Ebb & Flow Arts will present Sarn Oliver and Friends, a free program of string quartets by Samuel Barber, Claude Debussy and Henri Dutilleux.
