Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be about waist/head high today. The best breaks could get up to overhead on the sets.
West: Surf is pretty flat today for west shores without exposure to the swells. Exposures catching the swell will get up to waist high or more.
South: Surf is knee/waist high today.
A moderate northwest swell is expected to peak through Saturday morning before fading Saturday afternoon and into Sunday. A small reinforcing bump is expected Monday maintaining wave heights. No significant swells on the horizon out of the NPAC further out.
Our current southerly mix is below waist high. Some long period forerunners could filter in on Monday. A south-southwest is expected to show for the 17th through about the 21st.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
