Looking Ahead
Trade winds are forecast to pick up in strength Tuesday and Wednesday. Clouds and showers will continue to favor windward and mauka spots, but will affect leeward spots from time to time as well. Showers are expected to become more widespread, with locally heavy downpours and thunderstorms possible, from Tuesday night into Thursday as a disturbance moves over the islands. Fewer showers are expected by next weekend.

We expect east winds around 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. High temperatures are forecast from 85° to 90°. Partly cloudy skies with windward showers likely in the morning and scattered showers in the afternoon. Leeward spots are forecast to be partly cloudy with scattered showers through the day.
