400 Bags of Food Distributed to Hāna Residents in Need
An estimated 400 bags of food were distributed Wednesday, April 29, to individuals impacted by COVID-19 in Hāna.
The distribution was a joint effort with Project Hoʻomana, VIP Foodservice, Mahi Pono, Maui Soda & Ice Works, Maui County Farm Bureau, the County of Maui and volunteers.
County official say 5,000 bags of food and produce have been distributed to communities across Maui County during their COVID-19 response.
“To all the local businesses and volunteers in the Hāna community, mahalo for making this a huge success for our people in need,” Mayor Michael Victorino said in a press release update. “These food distributions have brought our community closer together and they would not have been possible without the help of all our partners. I continue to be grateful for all their support.”
