Maui panel on COVID-19 slated Feb. 4 features state, local leaders
The community is invited to participate in a Maui County-organized COVID-19 discussion panel featuring state government, health and education officials that will be held online from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4, a news release said.
Convened by Mayor Michael Victorino, the panel will include Gov. David Ige and Lt. Gov. Josh Green, along with Dr. Michael Shea, Maui Health chief medical director, and Jamie Yap, interim Department of Education superintendent for the Baldwin-Kekaulike-Maui Complex.
A link to the planned panel discussion and additional participant information will be announced next week. Proposed questions for panelists should be sent to Mayors.Office@co.maui.hi.us.
“Our residents have many questions about COVID-19, its variants, vaccinations, boosters and testing; and how state and county governments and their partners are responding to public health and economic concerns of Maui County residents,” Victorino said the release. “I encourage the community to send questions for this group to discuss.”
