Maui police responded to 11 burglaries over a seven day period, between Sept. 15 and 21, 2013. There were incidents reported at the following locations: (1) Haʻikū, (2) Kahului, (1) Kaunakakai, (1) Kīhei, (1) Lahaina, (1) Pāʻia, (1) Pukalani, (2) Waiehu, and (1) Waikapū.

7 Vehicle Thefts on Maui Sept 15 to 21, 2013

There were a total of seven vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between Sept. 15 and 21, 2013. The cases include incidents in: (1) Kahului, (3) Lahaina, (1) Māʻalaea, (1) Nāpili, and (1) Wailea. One of the vehicles has since been recovered.

Maui Police Seek Suspect in ID Theft Case

Police say a woman attempted to open a line of credit in the victim’s name at the Macy’s department store in Kahului. The victim’s home was burglarized in Pukalani a month earlier, during which personal and confidential information was taken.

CAPTURED: Maui Police Apprehend Robbery Suspect

Turner Terry, 22, of Lahaina was placed under arrest at around 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, and charged with second-degree robbery. He was being held in lieu of $50,000.

Police Seek Help in ID of Lahaina Bank Robbery Suspect

Police describe the suspect as 5’8” tall, weighing 150 pounds, between approximately 20-25 years old, and clean-shaven, with no visible scars or tattoos. The individual was last seen wearing a blue hat, black shirt, black/purple shorts, and sunglasses.

Repeat Equipment Theft at Fire Training Facility Investigated

The latest incident occurred at 2:11 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 when a male suspect entered the fenced property, broke into a metal storage container, and stole three STIHL chainsaws and a Husqvarna rotary saw.

Maui police responded to 16 burglaries over a seven day period, between August 18 and 24, 2013. There were incidents reported at the following locations: (1) Haʻikū, (4) Kahului, (1) Kīhei, (1) Kula, (4) Lahaina, (1) Nāpili, (2) Pāʻia, (1) Waikapū, and (1) Wailea.

The cases include (3) incidents in Hāna, (1) Kahului, (1) Kīhei, (2) Lahaina, and (1) Makawao. Two of the 8 stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

Haʻikū Man Charged with Unauthorized Entry into Vehicle

A 55-year-old Haʻikū man was arrested and charged today with unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, police said.

Maui Police Release Photo in Car Theft Investigation

A few hours later, a male individual returned back to the cane field and inquired with security regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle. The man fled the area when security advised him that police had been called and the vehicle had been removed.

Maui Police Seek Help in Robbery Reports

According to police, two males, who were walking behind the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church parking lot on Main Street, were held up at gunpoint by an unknown suspect in dark clothing.
