HTA Releases Maui’s January Visitor Statistics
On Maui Island, visitor spending rose by 6.1 percent to $438.5 million in January 2015, compared with $413.3 million in January 2014. Visitor arrivals were counted at 211,032, increasing by 6.8 percent and including a 12.1 percent increase in day-trip visitors over last year. The average stay for visitors was tallied at 9.52 days, down slightly from January 2014.
