Advance tickets are now available online for a performance by local singer/songwriter Justin Kawika Young in the McCoy Studio Theater at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center announced today.

Slack-key guitar master George Kuo is expected to headline daylong entertainment at Saturday’s Kēōkea Ho‘olaule‘a in Upcountry, Maui.

History buffs will have an opportunity to see portrayals of sugar barons from the 19th- and early 20th-century Hawai‘i in performances of “How Sweet It Is” at the July 27-28 debut of “Makawao Cemetery Theatre.”

Three-time Grammy Award-winner Kalani Peʻa has released a new album, “Kuini,” according to an announcement by Peʻa Records & Entertainment. The album includes 11 tracks Peʻa wrote or co-wrote and features guest artists Jake Shimabukuro, Tiana Nonosina Liufau, Kamehameha Schools Maui Hawaiian Ensemble, Wailau Ryder, Michael Casil, Ron “Ruff” Boyce and more.

The 2024 Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival takes place on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center. The event features free keiki activities, workshops, Hawaiʻi made artisans and hula accompanied by Hawaiian music.

Cravalho Entertainment presents a special summer evening of music and entertainment for all ages, welcoming back to the stage Big Island native, Waylon Nihipali to Maui on Saturday. Theatre Theatre Maui (TTM) announced their summer youth performance schedule of Mean Girls Jr., sponsored by Wave of Harmony Foundation.
