In light of health and safety concerns, the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System, in partnership with Music for Life Foundation, are announcing the cancellation of the ʻUkulele Lending Program launch event with Jake Shimabukuro and Andrew Molina for Maui libraries that was scheduled for Saturday, March 14th at Kahului Public Library.

Daryl Hall & John Oates are rescheduling their shows in Honolulu and Kahului, Maui. The Maui show at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center has been rescheduled (from Sunday, March 29) to Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020. The Honolulu show at the Blaisdell Arena will be rescheduled to Friday, Oct. 23, 2020.

The Bozich Center Opening Celebration featuring Shin Lim on March 28, 2020 will be postponed and rescheduled for Sept. 12, 2020.

Due to concerns over spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus in the United States, St. Joseph Church and School, has postponed the annual St. Joseph Feast for this year.

The director of the Maui Film Festival issued a statement on Thursday evening addressing the Coronavirus challenge facing Maui, Hawaiʻi, the US mainland and beyond.  The festival is currently scheduled for June 17-21, 2020 in Wailea, Maui.

In light of safety and health concerns and after serious consideration, the organizers and sponsors of the 2020 Merrie Monarch Festival announced today that the event will not be held.

The event, will tentatively be rescheduled to June 27; however that date is pending community impacts of the ongoing COVID-19.  The school will continue to monitor and assess the situation as the new date approaches. 

The Valley Isle Keiki Fest that was scheduled to take place on April 11, 2020, has been cancelled due to growing concerns of COVID-19. 

Disneyland Park in California will close on Saturday morning, March 14, through the end of the month amid concerns over COVID-19 also known as the coronavirus.

The exhibit focuses on Mauiʻs Nisei soldiers from the 442nd Regimental Combat Team.

The concert will be held at the MACCʻs Castle Theater on April 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Participants will learn how to weave a lei poʻo (head lei), peʻahi (fan), and a hanging ʻumeke (basket).

Women Helping Women Maui hosts its 23rd anniversary gala, “Wahine Alakaʻi – Women Leaders, Then & Now” on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the King Kamehameha Golf Club. With the new date, Mariah Carey and Rick Bartalini Presents will bring the All I Want for Christmas Is You & Hits show to Hawaiʻi for the first time ever.
