The Valley Isle’s long-awaited Target opened to an enthusiastic public on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Seemingly not phased by rain and a flood advisory, an estimated 300 shoppers arrived early for the 8 a.m. opening at Puʻunēnē Shopping Center.
A Tour of Target
Maui’s first sneak peek of its long-awaited Target store was made available through a media-only event on Tuesday, March 3, in the Puʻunēnē Shopping Center. In attendance were Mayor Alan Arakawa and wife Anne, Target Store Team Leader Scott Hayes and his staff, and of course, Bullseye the Bull Terrier, the official mascot of Target Corporation.
March Workshops Announced at Maui Business Resource Center
The workshop lineup for March 2015 has been announced by the County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development. The sessions will be presented at the Maui County Business Resource Center located in the Maui Mall in Suite B-9 across from Pizza Hut. Seating for each workshop is limited, and schedules are subject to change or cancellation.

Gas in Wailuku began an upward tick late last week, with gas now listed at $3.13 for a gallon of regular gas, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
22 Graduate from MEO Entrepreneur Training; More Classes Offered
Twenty-two students graduated from the Core Four Business Planning course on Feb. 24, 2015, as part of the MEO Business Development Program. The graduation was held in Wailuku and attended by Maui County Council Member Gladys Baisa and Mayor Alan Arakawa’s representative, Joseph Pontanilla.
