The Maui Visitor Industry Charity Walk held in Wailuku on Saturday raised $767,495, according to event organizers. When combined with walks on Lanaʻi and Molokaʻi, the event raised $863,542 for Maui County.

The funds will go towards Maui United Way’s annual 2013-2014 fundraising campaign to support more than 40 partner health and human service programs on Maui.

The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development released a list of workshops scheduled in May that are open to the general public. The workshops are offered at the Maui County Business Resource Center and are free unless otherwise noted.

The two-day sale began at midnight on Thursday, May 8, and runs through Friday, May 9.

Vendors of products made in Maui County are invited to attend informational sessions to find out more about the first-ever Made In Maui County Festival, scheduled to take place November 7 and 8 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului.
