Police say an investigation revealed a 62-year-old male victim was approached at a bus stop, by an unknown man that demanded money, while brandishing a hand gun which was later determined to be a BB gun.

The Maui Fire Department hosts a demonstration on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Keōpūolani Park. An estimated 600 children, parents and teachers attended last year’s demonstration.

The Coast Guard and Ocean Safety crews rescued two kayakers stranded on Molokini Crater on Monday afternoon, Nov. 24, 2014. Coast Guard officials say the kayakers were forced onto the rocks at around 3:20 p.m., during 29 mph winds and three foot seas.

Coalition Steps in to Defend Maui GMO Initiative

Study Now Tracking 24 Tiger Sharks, Shows Habitat Insights on Maui, Oʻahu
A total of 24 tiger sharks off of Maui are now being tracked with satellite tagging devices as researchers with the University of Hawaiʻi continue to study their movement following an increase in the number of unprovoked shark bite incidents last year.
