Some topics that will be covered are discussions on the current state of housing across the United States focused on efforts to improve housing availability, affordability, and homelessness, and reimagining models of disaster preparedness and Maui’s recovery. 

While in Japan, Gov. Green will thank Japan’s government for its $2 million contribution to Hawai‘i in the aftermath of the August 2023 Maui wildfire disaster, promote made-in-Hawai‘i products, and invite the return of Japanese visitors to Hawai‘i’s shores.

Governor Josh Green, M.D., will travel to New York City from July 9-14 to attend the United Nations High-Level Political Forum and the National Governors Association 2023 Annual Meeting.
