The Construction Industry of Maui is now accepting applications from graduating Maui high school students, for its annual Bob Poulson CIM Scholarships. The deadline for the essay and application is May 2.

Maui nonprofit Binhi at Ani will award scholarships to 26 Maui County students in the Class of 2024. The three top-rated students will receive $2,000 while 23 students will receive $1,000.

The Construction Industry of Maui awarded three Maui high school students each a $25,000 scholarship to encourage education towards a career in the construction industry. The Bob Poulson scholarship encourages Maui students to pursue a degree in the construction and design industry, away from Maui, then bring their acquired knowledge, skills and local hearts back to Maui to serve their communities. This year’s scholarship recipients are Maui high school seniors, Carla Mae Agrade of Lahaina, John Kaahui of Haʻikū and Emi Sado of Kahului.

The Clyde Wakida Scholarship Fund was established through donations from friends and family after the August fire.  This year the Fund awarded five recipients, each receiving $2,000. Recipients were: Carla Mae Agrade, Judy Dela Cruz, Blessy Calapit, Cecelia Steiner and John Tumpap.

The Realtors Association of Maui Community Foundation recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to 30 students from Maui County. These scholarships are part of RAMCF’s ongoing commitment to support the educational pursuits of Maui’s youth, fostering the next generation of leaders and professionals.

Hawaiʻi Alpha Delta Kappa (HADK), Gamma Chapter, of an international honorary sorority for women educators, presented $1,000 to 12 recent high-school graduates from Maui public schools.

The Mamoru and Aiko Takitani Foundation, Inc. (Takitani Foundation) has named 10 high school students from Maui County as scholarship recipients of its annual Legacy Scholarship Program.
