Maui Police Launch Distracted Driving Awareness Campaign April 5-11

To date the Maui Police Department has issued 359 citations for Distracted Driving compared to 329 citations issued this same time last year. In CY 2020 MPD issued a total of 1730 distracted driving citations.

Maui Police Distracted Driving Campaign Nets 438 Citations, 52 Warnings, 2 Arrests

Maui police issued 438 citations, 52 warning citations, and made two arrests during a week-long distracted driving awareness enforcement event that concluded on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020.

$297 Fine for Texting & Driving, Enforcement Continues

Maui police continue to crack down on motorists who text while driving during a campaign that runs during Distracted Driving Awareness Month, April 1-30, 2017.

“Drive Aloha” Fair Highlights Distracted Driving Awareness Month

A Maui fair focused on driving with aloha and traffic safety takes place on Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23 at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center from 11 am to 3 pm.
