Update: The scheduled water service outage at the junction of St. Peter’s Church Road and Hāna Highway (near Kailani’s Gift Shop) on Jan. 13 has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

As required by the State Department of Health, the Department of Water Supply is informing the public of the continued use of Wākiu Well C.

Full approval is anticipated in late Feb 2017. Wākiu Well C continues to be used as the water source for Hāna School, Hāna Med Ctr, Wainʻāpanapa and ʻUakea Rd.

The Maui Department of Water Supply will be repairing a waterline on Honokalani Road in Hāna—the road that leads to Waiʻānapanapa State Park–on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, from 8 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m.

The Maui Department of Water Supply has announced its continued use of Wākiu Well C, the new water source for the Wākiu area, Hāna School, Hāna Medical Center, Waiʻānapanapa area, and Uakea Road.

The results of water testing from the new emergency water source in the Wākiu area, Hāna School, Hāna Medical Center, Waiʻānapanapa area, and ʻUakea Road has been determined to meet DOH requirements.

The Hawaii State Department of Education announced that Hāna High & Elementary School in East Maui will be closed on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, due to a lack of water in the area.

Due to a pump failure, residents and businesses in the Hāna and Koali areas of East Maui are experiencing an interruption in water service.

Water customers in Hāna are being asked to reduce water usage on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, as contractors conduct electrical connection work on a new backup well in Hāmoa.
