While life has been difficult for Mike Victorino after losing his reelection bid for Maui County mayor in 2022 and taking on new health challenges, he has the love and support of his family and a strong will to see his great grandchildren grow up.

Bishop Pahia of Waiehu and Patricia Niibu of Lānaʻi City were honored as the 2025 Maui County Outstanding Older American Male and Female, respectively, the County of Maui Department of Human Concerns Office on Aging announced.

The club has been through a lot since the Aug. 8, 2023, wildfires, which claimed the life of one member and the homes of 40 members. While the December gathering last year was subdued and a reunion of members scattered across the island, this year’s event was a more traditional, festive holiday gathering.

Five community leaders were voted into the Board of Directors for the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce during the organization’s Annual Meeting, held June 29 at the MEO building in Wailuku.

Mike and Joycelyn Victorino have been honored as the Little League Foundation Parents of the Year.
