The National Foundation for Governors’ Fitness Councils will deliver a state-of-the-art DON’T QUIT! Fitness Center valued at $100,000 to three elementary or middle schools across Hawaiʻi this year.

The Hawai‘i State Department of Education is celebrating 83 of its teachers statewide who have earned or renewed their National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification – a recognition for meeting the highest standards for teaching. 

On Maui, there were 39 cases reported last week, including 11 at Kahului Elementary on Maui, the most of any in the state. This resulted in quarantine for multiple students and classrooms, according to HSTA representatives.
