Maui County Councilmember Tamara Paltin is asking University of Hawaiʻi President David Lassner to put a hold on moving forward with the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope planned for the summit of Maunakea.

The non-profit Hawaiʻi Alliance for Progressive Action or “HAPA” hosts E Hoʻolokahi Ka Lāhui 2017 this Sunday, July 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. at UHMC Pilina Building

Dr. Sai will discuss his findings at a presentation tonight at 6 p.m. at the UHMC, Student Lounge in the Pilina Building. Sai began investigating the political and legal history of Hawai’i when research of his family’s genealogy revealed discrepancies from what he was taught in school about the Hawaiian Kingdom.

The House passed a resolution calling for an investigation into the status of agreements concerning Hawaiian Kingdom laws.
