Kīhei Charter School joins national education movement to ban cell phones in the classroom
Kīhei Charter School has moved to adopt a policy this school year that aligns with new more restrictive rules governing student cell phone use at school and in the classroom. The move to ban and regulate cell phone on-campus use has received nearly universal support from teachers at the charter school.
South Maui’s Lokelani Intermediate School gets critical funds for infrastructure improvements
State Sen. Angus McKelvey (District 6, West Maui, Māʻalaea, Waikapū, South Maui) announced the release of $1,020,000 in funding for vital improvements at Lokelani Intermediate School in Maui. This capital improvement project will address crucial infrastructure needs including parking lot resurfacing, upgrades to gutters and drainage systems, air conditioning enhancements and general repairs.
Kīhei Charter School announces school registration and lottery dates for enrollment
Kīhei Charter School will hold open house informational meetings beginning at 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at the school campus located at 650 Lipoa Parkway in the Maui Research & Technology Park. Other informational meetings are scheduled for March 6, 14 and 27.
