South Maui waterline temporary repair completed; Water conservation requested from 5 a.m. Sunday through 6 p.m. Monday
The County of Maui Department of Water Supply is requesting that all South Maui customers, including residents, visitors, hotels and condominium properties, conserve water and limit nonessential use from 5 a.m. Sunday, April 5, through 6 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, while crews complete permanent repairs to a South Maui mainline.
Update/Rescheduled: night work-water service outage in Kīhei Oct. 21-22
Night repair work is planned in Kīhei, resulting in a water service outage from 10 p.m. on Oct. 21 to 3 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2025.

The Department of Water Supply reports a scheduled water service outage in Kīhei scheduled today, May 7, 2025 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. affecting Lipoa Parkway. During this time, Wailea may experience low water pressure.
Maui Water Shut-Downs Affecting: Kīhei April 29-30; Kula May 5
On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, and Thursday, April 30, 2020, Goodfellow Brothers, LLC will be performing work on the County’s water system. On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, Alpha Inc. will be performing work on the County’s upper Kula water system.
UPDATE: 120 Without Water After Main Break in Kīhei
An estimated 100 residential and 20 commercial water customers in South Maui are without water this morning as crews work to repair a main line break in Kīhei.
Central Kīhei Water Shutdown, May 23
Customers in part of central Kīhei will be without water on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, while contractors work on a tie-in on Kanani Road.

Some customers will have their water shut off intermittently on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24-25, 2018, from approximately 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Department of Water Supply today announced that repairs to waterline breaks in North Kīhei and Haʻikū were repaired and service restored in both areas.
Murky Water Safe to Drink in Kīhei and Mākena
The Maui Department of Water Supply is asking Kīhei and Mākena area customers to conserve water until 9 p.m. (Wednesday, Dec. 17), while repairs are conducted on a 36-inch transmission main line.
