Most visitors see Hawai‘i as a safe and secure destination, according to the latest Visitor Satisfaction and Activity Survey released by the Hawai‘i Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. The survey complied answers to questions of visitors from the United States, Canada, Japan, Oceania, Korea and China who visited Hawai‘i in the fourth quarter of 2023.

When China Eastern Airlines begins its new Honolulu route on August 9, the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) is projecting that approximately 82,000 new visitors will begin coming to Hawaii.

Total visitor arrivals in August 2009 were virtually unchanged from the same time last year according to statistics released today by the Hawaii Tourism Authority.  Oahu fared the best with a 1.6 % increase in total arrivals; but total visitations decreased for Hawai’i island (-8%), Kaua’i (-5.2%) and Maui (-2.4%) in August 2009.
