Red Flag Warning issued through Saturday afternoon for mainly leeward areas

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from noon today through Saturday afternoon for mainly leeward areas due to windy conditions and low humidity.

Red Flag Warning extended to 6 p.m. Sunday due to strong winds, low relative humidity

The Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency (HIEMA) is alerting the public that the National Weather Service (NWS) in Honolulu is extending the Red Flag Warning for portions of the state through 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3 – based on current observations and model guidance. 

Red Flag Warning through Friday for gusty winds, low humidity

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect until 6 p.m. HST, Friday, and possibly into Saturday. The affected areas include leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands and interior sections of the Big Island.

The National Weather Service has extended a Red Flag Warning for leeward areas of all island through Saturday afternoon. The warning remains in effect until 4 p.m. due to a combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity and strong trade winds. This mix poses a threat for critical fire weather.

Red Flag Warning issued for leeward areas of all islands

Locally strong trade winds and low relative humidity will combine with dry fuels to bring critical fire weather conditions for leeward sections of the islands from late this morning through the afternoon.
