The State Department of Health has issued a brown water advisory for the island of Maui after heavy rain has led stormwater runoff to enter coastal waters. 

DT Fleming Park Under Brown Water Advisory

The public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer, manholes, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals, and associated flood debris.

North, West Shores Under Brown Water Advisory

Debris has begun to enter coastal waters due to 18 to 24-foot surf.
