The latest COVID-19 update from the State of Hawaiʻi shows the average number of new cases per day in Maui County is 86 over the week June 9-15, down 17 per day from the previous week.
Jan. 30, 2022 COVID-19 update: 7 deaths and 2,741 new infections in Hawaiʻi
The Hawaiʻi state Department of Health reported 2,741 new COVID-19 cases today and seven deaths, five on O’ahu, 1 on Maui and 1 on the Big Island. The deaths bring the total to 1,180 in Hawaiʻi.
Jan. 29, 2022 COVID-19 update: 9 deaths and 1,860 new infections in Hawaiʻi
The Hawaiʻi state Department of Health reported 1,860 new COVID-19 cases today. This number continues the downward trend from a record high of 6,252 new cases reported on Jan. 18, 2022. But there were nine new COVID-19 deaths reported, all on Oʻahu.

There was one new death on Maui, bringing the total for the island to 53.
