Maui police say the suspect is a 44-year-old female of Wailuku, identified as Dolly Ai, who was allegedly operating the truck at the time of the collision. Ai was arrested for Accidents Involving Death or Serious Bodily Injury and was later released pending further investigation.

Authorities say passing motorists found the male on the side of the road. Resuscitation attempts were not initiated due to the extent of the injuries suffered by the patient.
