A California visitor was transported to the hospital in stable condition after falling 30 feet from a waterfall while hiking on the Commando Trail in East Maui.

The teen had reportedly lost consciousness at the crash site for a few seconds, then regained consciousness and drove to the Paia residence where he became unresponsive.

The 50-year-old woman, who was visiting from Tacoma, Washington, broke her right leg when she slipped and fell during the hike.
