Maui County Federal Credit Union (FCU) is partnering with The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program to brighten the holidays for keiki and kūpuna in need across Maui. Now through Dec. 12, 2025, community members are encouraged to visit any Maui County FCU branch in Kahului, Lahaina, or Wailuku to pick up an Angel Tree tag, purchase the requested gift, and return it with the tag to the same branch.

Maui County Federal Credit Union will host its second annual Holiday Fair, a festive community event that celebrates small local businesses and spreads holiday cheer across Maui. The fair will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 224 Kehalani Village Drive in Wailuku.

Maui County Federal Credit Union (MCFCU) announced the appointment of Michele Kawahara as its new President and CEO, effective Sept. 1, 2025. Kawahara succeeds Gary Fukuroku, who will retire on Aug. 31, 2025, after more than three decades of leadership.

The Credit Unions of Maui recently lauded their 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held on Aug. 10 at The Dunes at Maui Lani. This year’s event brought together 144 golfers and community supporters, resulting in $38,000 raised to benefit Hospice Maui, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for Maui residents.
