22 Volunteer Heroes recognized by County of Maui for exemplary service to nonprofits

Twenty-one residents were recognized as 2025 Volunteer Heroes for their service to nonprofit organizations during a County of Maui volunteer center event Tuesday at the Kalana O Maui County building.

Nominate a Volunteer Nonprofit Hero

HandsOn Maui, the County of Maui’s Volunteer Center, is now accepting nominations for its annual Volunteer Hero Celebration of Service. Anyone currently volunteering with a Maui County nonprofit organization is eligible to be nominated until Friday, April 1, 2022. 

100 Local Entities To Host 100 Projects during Volunteer Week Hawaiʻi, April 18-24

More than 100 local nonprofits, community-based organizations, local businesses and schools will host more than 100 volunteer projects across the state during Volunteer Week Hawaiʻi, which takes place April 18-24.

Nominations Open for Maui Volunteer Heroes

The County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Concerns’ Volunteer Center is accepting nominations of outstanding community volunteers for recognition at the annual Volunteer Heroes Celebration of Service event in April.
