Two recruits graduate, joining the ranks of the Maui Ocean Safety division
Two recruits joined the ranks of the County of Maui Ocean Safety Officers during a graduation ceremony on Friday. Kelson Lau and Kevin Smallwood completed the 12-week-long training program that covered not only an extensive variety of ocean rescue skills, but also Emergency Medical Responder and CPR skills, ATV/UTV and RWC operation, and communication protocols.
Five recruits graduate, joining the ranks of the Maui Ocean Safety Bureau
Ellis Bloyer, Sale Ioakimi, Les Johnson, Quinn Whitford, and Rhett Wiseman completed a 12-week long training program that covered an extensive variety of ocean rescue skills.
Four Maui recruits graduate as part of the Ocean Safety Bureau’s 4th Recruit Class
Graduating Ocean Safety Officers are: Maluhia Scott, Bryceen Silva, Brody Santiago, and Rachel Hillen. They will be joining the ranks of the Ocean Safety Bureau and will be assigned to current lifeguarded beaches throughout Maui County.
