Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has partnered with OHANA Pickleball Club to bring a new world-class pickleball club experience to the shores of Kā‘anapali Beach. Open to all, the Grand Opening of the club is set for March 14, 2026.

After five years of dreaming, planning and perseverance, Aloha Pickleball held its groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday for its new, state-of-the-art pickleball complex in Kīhei. What began as a dream for founders Mark and Nancy Beach is now becoming a reality.

Eight months to the day after a wildfire swept through Lahaina town, Maui County Council members heard the anguish of residents struggling to recover from the disaster that claimed at least 101 lives and leveled their beloved historic town.

Vandalism has reportedly altered one of the main county tennis courts in Wailuku. According to county officials, the upper tennis court at the War Memorial Complex was painted to accommodate pickleball use and a bracket was installed into a wood panel of the facility fence for shade.

Free, family-friendly events will take place on Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi as part of National Parks and Recreation Month in July. For Maui, movies start at sunset and will be held at Eddie Tam Memorial Center, July 7; Kamaʻole III, July 14; War Memorial Stadium Complex, July 21; and Lahaina Civic Center, July 28.

A free pickleball tournament takes place Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Lahaina Civic Center Pickleball Courts.

The Maui Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting a free pickleball tournament on Saturday, August 26, at the War Memorial Gymnasium and Tennis Courts.

The intent of the clinic is to introduce the game of pickleball to the community. The clinic will be held on Saturday, June 3, at the War Memorial Gymnasium.

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation will host its first annual Pickleball Clinic and Round-Robin tournament on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017.
