Maui’s first sneak peek of its long-awaited Target store was made available through a media-only event on Tuesday, March 3, in the Puʻunēnē Shopping Center. In attendance were Mayor Alan Arakawa and wife Anne, Target Store Team Leader Scott Hayes and his staff, and of course, Bullseye the Bull Terrier, the official mascot of Target Corporation.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Maui College will be hosting its 2015 spring job fair on Wednesday, Mar. 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on campus at the Ka Lama Courtyard. The public event will give those looking for a job an opportunity to meet with local employers. Come dressed for an interview and bring copies of your resume.

Target will open two new stores in Hawai‘i on Wednesday, March 4, at 8 a.m. Target’s first location on Maui is opening in Kahalui at 100 Hookele St. The new O‘ahu store in Kailua will be the the island’s third.

Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. announced the recent close on three sales at its Maui Business Park II project near the Kahului Airport.

Target has already attracted 1,100 applicants online, and had hundreds of interested job seekers attend the first day of a four-day job fair on Maui.

Target is looking to hire approximately 250 team members for its new Kahului store at the future Puʻunēnē Shopping Center, which is currently under construction and is set to open in March, 2015.

Future Maui retailer, Target is partnering with the Surfrider Foundation Maui Chapter and Mālama Maui Nui to clean up Hoaloha Park at Kahului Harbor on Sunday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Developers celebrated the groundbreaking and blessing today on the Pu‘unēnē Shopping Center in Kahului that will be anchored by Maui’s first Target store.

A groundbreaking and blessing ceremony will be held next week Thursday, Jan. 30, for the new Pu‘unēnē Shopping Center planned for development on 24 acres of land that will house the island’s first Target store.

The sale has closed on more than 24 acres of land in Kahului that is identified for development of the Puunene Shopping Center, and Maui’s first Target store, officials announced.

The planned Puunene Shopping Center has named Target as its anchor tenant. Officials say the center will generate an estimated 250 construction jobs and bring up to 300 jobs to the area when it is fully occupied.
