Upcountry Maui water shortage downgraded to Stage 1
Following recent rainfall that improved surface water flows and replenished reservoirs, the County of Maui Department of Water Supply (DWS) is suspending the Stage 2 Upcountry water shortage and downgrading it to a Stage 1, effective immediately and until further notice.

The Maui Department of Water Supply is reportedly conducting the work as part of a larger capital improvement project that is scheduled for completion in July 2013.
Kaupakalua Road Closed for Bridge Work
Motorists are advised of a road closure that begins today on Kaupakalua Road due to construction work on a bridge in the area.
MECO Announces Scheduled Outage in Hana
The work will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, and will affect sections of the Hana Highway from Ulumalu Road in Haiku (including Huelo, Kailua, Keanae, and Nahiku) to Kaeleku in Hana.
