The West Coast Health Alliance endorses the 2026 American Academy of Pediatrics Recommended Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedule. This reflects a broad consensus on the safety and benefits of the recommended immunizations, according to the state Department of Health.
Parents of students entering the seventh grade encouraged to schedule a well-child visit
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health is encouraging parents of students who will be entering seventh grade this coming school year to schedule a well-child visit as soon as possible. Hawai‘i law requires that all students submit official documentation to their school indicating that they have received the required vaccinations and undergone a physical exam before the first day of school.
Digital vaccination records now available at Hawaiʻi’s SMART Health Card website
Patients can now easily store and share their COVID-19 vaccination records by generating a QR code to add to their smartphone’s digital wallet applications, such as Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet.

A COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at War Memorial Gym in Wailuku. The clinic is staffed by Minit Medical Urgent Care and all three vaccines will be administered, subject to availability.
