After decades of leadership as the Wailea Community Association general manager, Frank “Bud” Pikrone has announced his plan to retire this year. A search for Wailea Community Association’s next general manager has been launched by the Inkinen Executive Search firm.

The Wailea Community Association (WCA) started supporting the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College Nursing Program during the pandemic. Since then, it has donated almost $300,000, with almost $100,000 of that just this year.

The Wailea Community Association has contributed more than $18,000 over the past two years to the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College to support all students in the nursing program.

Just in time for the holidays, Wailea Community Association’s General Manager, Bud Pikrone presented a check in the amount of $10,000 to Marlene Rice, Development Director for the Maui Food Bank on behalf of the Wailea Community.    

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the Wailea Fire Station and the Wailea Community Association office located in Hotel Wailea, now through Dec. 17.  

Maui Food Bank received a $10,000 Donation from Wailea Community Association as a result of their #WaileaDineOut promotion.

The Wailea Community Association committed to a partnership with the UH Maui nursing program and is helping 41 graduates from the class of 2021 obtain their nursing licensure by funding the costs associated with taking the National Council Licensure Examination for each UHMC graduate.
