A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Maui County channels (except the Kaiwi Channel) and Māʻalaea Bay through 6:00 a.m. Wednesday. East winds up to 25 knots are forecasted along with rough seas of 7 to 11 feet. Inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating in these conditions.

Today
Today we expect high temperatures from 82° to 87°. Winds will be out of the east around 15 mph. Leeward sides should be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Windward sides should be partly cloudy with scattered showers in the morning.

Tonight
Mostly clear skies are expected tonight with just isolated showers in windward and mauka areas. East winds are forecasted around 15 mph becoming light and variable. Low temperatures from 67° to 72° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Trade winds are expected to begin to weaken on Wednesday, then break down into a light sea breeze pattern on Thursday as a weakening front approaches from the northwest. This front is forecasted to reach Kauai on Friday, then dissipate over the weekend as it moves down the island chain. Behind the front (early next week), light trade winds are expected to fill in.
