Looking Ahead
Trade winds are forecasted to keep blowing at least through mid-week. Drier and more stable air is expected to spread across the islands. The trade winds will carry a band of showers over the islands by Tuesday morning and keep windward areas rather wet and cloudy through Wednesday. The atmosphere may turn moist and unstable again next weekend, bringing the threat of more unsettled weather.

Today we expect partly sunny skies with scattered windward showers. Some leeward areas in Maui County will experience morning scattered showers with just isolated showers expected by afternoon with a drying trend in place. High temperatures from 86° to 91°. East winds are expected from 15 to 20 mph.

East winds are expected this evening from 15 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 76° to 81°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with scattered showers for windward spots. Leeward spots should be quite clear.
