Looking Ahead
A weakening front will push southward through the islands through Saturday, then stall out over the eastern end of the state Sunday through early next week. A short period of unsettled weather is expected as the front pushes through the islands. The unsettled weather will likely be more persistent across windward sections of Maui and the Big Island as it stalls and before dissipating. A light to moderate trade wind pattern is then expected to return for the middle and latter part of next week.
Today & Sunday
We expect partly to mostly cloudy skies for windward spots with increased showers likely as a front moves through. Partly sunny for the leeward sides with isolated showers. Northeast winds from 15 to 20 mph after the frontal passage. High temperatures from 79° to 84°. Sunday partly cloudy skies with scattered showers for leeward spots and showers likely in windward areas with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures and winds remain pretty steady.
