Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea invites guests to its holiday season festivities, featuring the grand reopening of Ferraro’s Restaurant, the Love for Lāhainā Grand Tasting event, and a host of holiday experiences and celebrations.

For entertainment this week on Maui, there are performances by the Great American Jazz Piano Competition finalist Jeff Hellmer & Friends, three-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano winner Kevin Brown and Maui Prep actors in Beauty and the Beast, as well as a Winter Craft Fair and the 50th Maui County Senior Fair.

Mānoa Chocolate’s name originated from the Hawaiian word mānoa which means solid, vast and depth. Butterbaugh found this name fitting: it summed up his goal to (1) make chocolate with deep, complex flavor profiles, and (2) create a vast impact on Hawaiʻi’s agricultural and manufacturing industries.

Cool Cat Café at the Wharf Cinema Center Shops in West Maui was destroyed by the August wildfire in Lahaina. Rising from the aftermath, the restaurant is poised to open for lunch and dinner at the Kukui Mall in Kīhei in early 2024.

Host Lanai Tabura kicks off the season with accomplished Maui musician, Joshua Kahula, the lead singer of Nuff Sedd. Kahula’s most recent project, E OLA MAUI, is a collaboration with filmmakers and artists across Hawaiʻi is a tribute to the families of Maui impacted by the August fires, www.eolamaui.com. A resident of Lahaina and father of three, Kahula shares recipes that fit his family’s busy lifestyle.

World Plate and Paniolo Grill are now open for lunch and welcoming back the campus community and the Maui community at large to Pā‘ina Market.

Due to an outpouring of community support and interest, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is extending Love for Lahaina, the sold-out series of culinary pop-up events created to benefit and directly support the hospitality industry and farmers across the island into November 2023.

Thirty-eight award-winning chefs, participated in The Guy Fieri Foundation’s Chefs for Maui Fundraiser in Northern California Wine Country on Oct. 21, to support disaster operations and raise money for relief supplies for Maui following the August wildfires.

This is the first year the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival, now in its 13th year, centered an event solely around indigenous cuisine, said acclaimed chef and restaurant owner Roy Yamaguchi, who co-founded the festival with chef Alan Wong.

The University of Hawaii Maui College is planning a Grand Opening and Blessing of their innovative first-in-the-state Maui Food Innovation Center, Pilina Facility Commercial Kitchen and Educational Center.

The Maui Nui Food Alliance will host the Maui Nui 2023 Food Summit on Nov. 3 with the theme: “Harvesting Hope: Growing a Resilient Food Future.”

As West Maui prepares for the return of tourism on Oct. 8, restaurants and businesses are adjusting to the ongoing need of residents while also gauging services for visitors. Since Aug. 10, Chef Peter Merriman and his team have fed thousands of displaced residents impacted by the fires, giving free meals to 1,000 people daily and serving approx. 45,000 meals in the first seven weeks of response. 

“Taste Our Love For Maui” unites eight exceptionally talented chefs, each deeply connected to the island’s rich heritage for one-night only on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamaguchi and Wailea Beach Resort.

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is hosting a new series of “Love for Lahaina” culinary pop-up events in October to support the hospitality industry and farmers who have been directly affected by the wildfires.

Genki Sushi LTD. will meet later this week, the company will meet with the CEO of the popular Japanese ramen brand, Mensho Inc. to discuss a new partnership between the brands. The franchise agreement is expected to result in a new ramen shop in Hawaiʻi, projected to open in 2024.

Bistro Casanova in Kahului is pledging 100% of its profits until Dec. 31, 2023 to Maui Strong, to support recovery in the wake of the Lahaina fires.
