Maui Public Art Corps will host four public art unveiling events in April, including the unveiling of a mural in Kahului, an artist meet and greet at Hui No‘eau, a sculpture blessing in Makawao, and an animated Hui Moʻolelo Film Festival.

Nā Leo Pūlama o Maui, a parent-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Hawaiian immersion preschool program, Pūnana Leo o Maui, will host its 37th Annual Hoʻomau Benefit Concert from 9 a.m. to sunset March 23 at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens.

In a launch celebration scheduled March 16 at Maui Brewing Company, guests will learn more about this one-of-a-kind swim, which is an official project of the United Nations Ocean Decade.

Maui Pops Orchestra steps back to delight in the music of the 1920s at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s (the MACC’s) Castle Theatre, this Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m.

March 17 marks the birthday of Queen Kaʻahumanu, a cherished Kuhina Nui from the island of Maui. This year, Queen Kaʻahumanu Center is celebrating with brand-new events that embrace community, culture and commerce.

Comedian Rex Navarrete is the featured May 24 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s McCoy Studio Theater at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale online only at 10 a.m. on March 15.

Comedian and TV host, Chelsea Handler returns to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Friday, July 19, 2024 as part of her LBB Tour. The show starts at 8 p.m. in the Castle Theater.

Imua presents The Color Festival Hawaiʻi April 28, from 12-6 p.m. at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Events Lawn. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. The Color Festival Hawaiʻi celebrates the color and diversity of life with music, entertainment, dancing and fun for the whole family.

The Maui Public Art Corps will begin a two-week process on March 20, 2024 of installing a large-scale mural on the exterior of Ceramic Tile Plus & Exclusively Yours, at the intersection of Kahului Beach Road and Ka’ahumanu Ave., facing Harbor Lights and Kahului Harbor.

Maui Public Art Corps, in partnership with the County of Maui and Hale Hō‘ike‘ike at the Bailey House/ Maui Historical Society, is announcing a new public art project in development for the town of Makawao.  Sculptor Matthias Neumann has been selected to create a piece fronting the Makawao Public Library, which will be unveiled on April 20, 2024.

The Honolulu Festival Foundation announced today that H.P. Baldwin High School of Wailuku is the winner of the 28th Annual Honolulu Festival Maui Mikoshi design contest.

Maui Academy of Performing Arts has received a $1,000,000 donation for its new black box theatre in Wailuku from philanthropist Susan Naylor Moulton. Currently under construction, the Naylor Family Theatre will open in spring 2025.

Based on the best-selling book series by Jeff Brown, the “Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley” brings the legend of two-dimensional hero Stanley Lambchop to the Bozich Center at Maui Prep in four shows March 8 through March 10. Two main casts will dance and sing their way through the 60-minute show.
