Young adults between the ages of 13 and 17 are invited to participate, but space within the popular program is limited. Training consists of familiarization with water safety skills, CPR, first aid, surf and rescue techniques, ocean swimming, paddle boarding and lifesaving skills.

After a week of spring showers and stormy waves, Ho’okipa surfers couldn’t resist the water on Sunday, March 25 when the sun finally returned to Maui’s north shore.
