Maui Police Issue Fentanyl Warning

Throughout the month of September 2020, Maui police say information was obtained that several individuals overdosed on a blue pill believed to be oxycodone. The blue pills were suspected to be laced with fentanyl, according to Maui police.

133 New COVID-19 Cases (87 O‘ahu, 43 Hawai‘i Island, 3 Maui); 11 Deaths (8 Due to Updated Reporting)

There were 133 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 87 on the island of O‘ahu, 43 on Hawai‘i Island and three on Maui. Kaua‘i reported no new cases today. Hawai‘i’s COVID-19 death toll increased to 153, with 11 new deaths reported since yesterday on the island of O‘ahu. The cumulative total of cases in Maui County is 394 cases over the course of the pandemic.  To date, there have been 19 cases on the island Molokaʻi.

11 COVID-19 Deaths Added on O‘ahu, Most Due to Updated Information

Eleven COVID-19 deaths on Oʻahu are being reported by the state today with eight of the deaths occurring between Aug. 15 to Sept. 15, 2020.  Eight of the deaths were recently validated and classified as those records became available.
