State Offers Quick Tips to Prepare as Guillermo Approaches
Guillermo continues to weaken, with the current forecast showing the potential for Tropical Storm force winds arriving as early as 7 a.m., Wednesday on Hawaiʻi Island. The Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency offered preparedness advice to assist residents and visitors in advance of the storm.

At 11 a.m. HST, Hurricane Guillermo was 785 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaiʻi moving toward the west-northwest at 10 mph, and is beginning to weaken. Maximum sustained winds were last tracked at 90 mph.
