Maui Sailing Canoe Mast Stolen
Club leaders say their sailing canoe, Hoku Holo o Ke Kai was pushed into the ocean along with its Bigfoot trolley on or around Easter Sunday. The canoe was found undamaged, but the mast was stolen.

Wells Street Structure Fire Burns Office Space
Fire officials said the fire was first reported at 5:52 p.m. at a 1,000-square foot wooden structure. Authorities say the affected structure was a home that was converted to office space.

$2.8 Million Road Repair Project Proposed in Kahakuloa
The stretch of roadway slated for repairs includes the segment between mile markers 15 and 16. The section of road is located on the north side of Waihali Gulch, just north of Kahakuloa Village on Conservation Lands that overlook Kahakuloa Bay.
UPDATE: Lahaina Man Suffers Fatal Injuries in Moped Crash
When the pick-up truck effected a right turn onto Wahikuli Road in front of the moped, the moped collided with the right front fender of the pick-up truck, police said. Medic 4 arrived on scene at 11:39 a.m. and found the patient unresponsive and with traumatic head injuries.
