Maui police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash on the Kula Highway Friday night (April 20) as Jason Williamson, 41, of Kula.

Emergency responders assisted with two separate incidents on Wednesday in which individuals were pulled from waters off of Maui. In the first incident, authorities say an 83-year-od woman was pulled from the water fronting the Hale Pau Hana in Kihei.

The funding specifically covers emergency work and repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms, flooding, and landslides in Kauai County. Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.
