Mayor Bissen presents $1.512 billion FY2026 budget to Maui County Council

Maui Mayor Richard T. Bissen, Jr. presented his budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2026 to members of the Maui County Council on Tuesday. The document addresses funding needed for housing, recovery and well-being, natural and cultural resources, water, infrastructure and public safety.

Mayor Bissen hosting community budget meetings for Fiscal Year 2026

Mayor Richard Bissen and his administration will host community budget meetings throughout Maui County starting next week for residents to share their priorities and provide input on the budget for Fiscal Year 2026, which begins July 1, 2025.

Evening budget meeting scheduled for Thursday in Hāna

The Maui Council’s Budget, Finance and Economic Development Committee will receive testimony on the fiscal year 2024 budget on Thursday, April 6, at 6 p.m. at Hāna High and Elementary School Cafeteria.

The Budget, Finance and Economic Development Committee will receive testimony on the fiscal year 2024 budget on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Lahaina Civic Center’s Social Hall.
