‘Just being home is a gift:’ 2 Lahaina families enjoy holidays in neighborhood rebuilding after fire
The first two families to finish rebuilding in Lahaina are both on Komo Mai Street, one of the earliest neighborhoods to take shape after the wildfire. Residents say it was a close-knit neighborhood and that the reconstruction and slow return of the community is a hopeful sign.
